The Board of NJHIMA invites you to the 2009 NJHIMA ANNUAL MEETING to be held June 18-19, 2009 at Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.  The theme this year is Recycle; the winning graphic and title for the meeting was submitted by Jean Lightcap.

“NJHIMA – Reduce, Recycle, Renew - Saving trees one record at a time”

In keeping with the theme, in addition to the online registration and eliminating paper handouts, all pages in the Annual Meeting Program will be printed on recycled paper (the cover has always been on recycled paper) and you will find this year’s give away something you can reuse often.

The 2009 Annual Meeting Program offers up to 10.5 CE Credits, including one CE credit for visiting the exhibit booths.  The presentations include pertinent topics – RACS, The Joint Commission, Clinical Documentation Improvement, Compliant Billing, ICD-10 and how the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act impacts the NJ hospitals.

This year NJHIMA is sponsoring the LTC Spring Conference, which will run concurrently with our meeting. We look forward to the LTC members joining us at registration, breaks in the exhibit hall, lunch on Thursday and brunch on Friday.

The Silent Auction will be continued. All donations to the Silent Auction are welcome and proceeds go towards the Scholarship Fund. You can register your donated item on line during registration or contact Eileen Hickey.

Donations to the Scholarship Fund can be made at any time, however if you haven’t done so already, please consider making a donation at the time of your registration.  All Scholarship Fund donors are recognized in the Annual Meeting Program.

Please book your hotel rooms early!  Reservations can be made on line at www.trumpmeetings.com. Enter code AHIMA9, select Taj Mahal, and then complete the necessary information.  Or you can call 1-800-825-8888 and reference AHIMA9. The room block is available only until May 25th, thereafter; availability and the contracted room rates of $125 / night ($155 in the Chairman Tower) are not guaranteed.

We look forward to seeing you at the Taj Mahal June 18th and 19th.
