Call for Nominations

The NJHIMA Nominating Committee wants you to suggest fellow members and/or yourself as possible candidates for the NJHIMA Executive Board positions for the next fiscal year, July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009. ALL NOMINEES MUST BE ACTIVE NJHIMA MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING. Nominations will be open from March 5 through March 26, 2008 for the following seats: President-Elect Evidences superior management and communication skills. Has had previous NJHIMA Executive Board experience. Shows strength under pressure. Has a “professional” image. Is a good listener. Has high interest level in the State Association. Is fully aware of the requirement of the NJHIMA position, a three year commitment, including but not limited to attendance at all face-to-face House of Delegate Meetings during first and second year term and both Team Talks/Leadership conferences during the first and second year term. Demonstrates a willingness to speak out on issues – positions are well thought out. Recording Secretary Has good writing skill. Is a well organized individual. Has experience in taking minutes. Can meet deadlines – will produce minutes on a timely basis. Is fully aware of the requirements of this NJHIMA position. Director/Delegate Is known to represent certain NJHIMA constituencies (major groups or opinions – For example the PRO, geographic area, non-traditional roles). Has demonstrated interest in NJHIMA through prior experience on the Executive Board. Has political interest. Have good communication and public speaking skills. Is fully aware of the responsibilities of this NJHIMA position, including but not limited to personal attendance at each face-to-face meeting of the House of Delegates. Nominating Committee Responsible for the formulation of a list of potential candidates for elected offices Treasurer Has been a previous member of Budget and Finance Committee. Has reputation for being responsible and well organized. Can communicate with auditors and the Internal Revenue Service.
