Job Description This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inpatient medical coding operations ensuring accurate, timely and compliant coding. This role involves managing the internal coding team and external consultants ensuring adherence to Federal, State and payor regulations and driving initiatives to improve coding quality. The position has responsibility for DRG Validation creating consistency and efficiency in inpatient claims processing and data collection facilitating data data quality in hospital inpatient services.

Required Qualifications: Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through completion of a high school degree.  Seven to ten years of previous work related experience required. Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) by American Health Information Management Association.

Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degree or college/university coding certificate program preferred.
