Congratulations to the 2019 Recipient of the Outstanding Service Award

Beth Juliano, RHIA and Jennifer Raio, RHIA

The Outstanding Service Award recognizes an NJHIMA member in good standing who has made a significant contribution to the association. This includes special projects, serving as a mentor, accepting students for professional practice and furthering the professional standards of the association.

The 2019 recipients of the Outstanding Service Award are the Virtua Health, Health Information Management team, specifically, Beth Juliano, MHA, RHIA, and Jennifer Raio.

Beth has been in the HIM profession since 1998 and has been with Virtua Health since 2005.  Jennifer graduated from Kean University in 1993.  She started at Virtua the second time in March 2008.

Both Beth and Jennifer have supported the health information profession and education by being members of Rowan College at Burlington County Advisory Committee, speaking to classes on professionalism, resumes, interviewing skills, and providing challenging professional practice experiences to students.

Not all of the credentialed and non-credentialed staff members who participate in the PPE of the students could be mentioned here, but know that they spend time and effort to assist the students at each of their facilities. One student stated:

“It has been a phenomenal experience working alongside the Health Information Management team at Virtua.  It allowed me to see first-hand this booming industry. Taking in all the information from the textbooks and applying it to real life experience at Virtua has made a significant difference in my learning experience.  Thank you to all involved, it is deeply appreciated."

Congratulations, Beth, Jennifer and Virtua HIM.
